Directions:
Bring a large pot of salt water to a boil. Add a sprinkle of crab boil seasoning to coat the top of the water if you so desire, and a bay leaf if you have one.
Add potatoes to the water and cook for about 10 minutes until they start to soften.
Add crab to the pot and cook for another 7 minutes.
Add corn and cook for another 3 minutes.
Crab should float when it is done. Serve your meal with salt, and melted butter. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
Crab - at least 1
Potatoes - one large chopped into 6 pieces or 6 small per serving
Fresh corn on the cob broken in half - one cob per serving

A crab boil is a simple meal, but a favorite one. Boiling the crabs in saltwater is preferred by some folks on the coast. Just grab some saltwater while you are crabbing. It’s best not to keep your caught crabs in the water, as they will expire quicker once they run out of oxygenated water. Some folks like to spice up their boils with Old Bay Seasoning. While this adds some spice, I like eating crab as simply cooked as possible to taste the complex flavor it has on its own. I'd recommend leaving the spice out the first boil you do. It’s important to cook the crab for at least 10 minutes total. I like to put a cover on the pot and place a small skillet of butter to melt on top of the lid.
